We were aired on Wednesday, May 21, on KVNF, broadcasting in the mountains of western Colorado. We’d love to know if you heard it!
The program director had nice things to say about it: “A careful examination of the difficult issue of political asylum and how it has changed since the September 11th attacks…” (more)
If anyone heard it on the air, let us know. And if you heard it in San Francisco on Tuesday, or in Texas this past weekend, drop us a line. And of course, stay tuned later in the summer for airings in New Mexico, Arizona and Illinois.
California, here we come! Tune in to KALW in San Francisco on Tuesday, May 20, at 10 pm.
KALW broadcasts on 91.7 and it looks like their signal covers most of the bay area, from Santa Rosa down to San Jose. Make sure to take a listen, and of course, if you hear it on the radio, let us know, and also let the station know if you enjoyed it.
KUT in Austin will air American Purgatory on May 17, at 6 PM on their HD2 channel (90.5 FM). You will need an HD radio to hear it on the radio, but you can also stream it online here.
HD radio is technology that allows them to broadcast several streams on the same frequency. They call it the “stations between the stations”.
In any case, if you hear the documentary in Texas and you like it, please let the station know, because they are considering airing it on their main FM station in June. Maybe positive listener feedback will encourage them to air it! And of course let us know what you think, too.
Listen to KUNM in New Mexico on Sunday, June 15, 2008, at 11 AM.
KUNM is a community station covering Albuquerque and Santa Fe (northern and central New Mexico). It’s licensed by the University of New Mexico and is based in Albuquerque.
If this is your public radio station, make sure to tune in, and let us and the station know what you think!
